Obamacare Tax Hike Personified as Iconic Movie Villains

The revelation (some might say rationalization), courtesy of Chief Justice John Roberts, that Obamacare is nothing more than a colossal tax hike on the middle class, was a “reveal” straight out of the movies. A good friend of mine, a member of our RPA family who works at Fox News, likened it to the scene in Die Hard in which the heroes discover that Hans Gruber isn’t some high-minded political terrorist, but merely a common thief. Just for fun, at the urging of a couple of our RPA regulars, I put together a graphic with Obamacare as Hans Gruber. And then it occurred to me, there are quite a few other  iconic movie villains who personify the real-life villain that is Obamacare.

So here are a few choice examples. Please feel free to submit your own. We’ll happily publish them!

Yes, Die Hard purists, I realize that the dialogue I’m riffing on occurred between Hans Gruber and McClane’s wife. But c’mon…Bonnie Bedelia isn’t nearly as iconic an image as Bruce.

*

Don Corleone isn’t technically a villain – he’s more of an antihero. But still…

*

Jules is also more of an antihero than a villain, but he sure knew how to terrorize the hell out of his victims.

*

One of the great movie “reveals” of all time…

*

Anton Chiguhr, a ruthless villain totally worthy of being in the Obama Administration.

*

Be forewarned…Obamacare likes to mess with people when it gets drunk.

No explanation necessary…
